The
Malta Crafts Council was set up by virtue of Act XXI of 2000. The aims
of the Council are focused on the encouragement, promotion and
regulation of crafts and craftsmen and entrepreneurs dealing in Maltese
craft products. Crafts forming part of Malta's historical heritage
are given particular importance

International Fair of Malta
The Commerce Division shall be
participating in this year’s edition of the International Fair of Malta
which shall be held from 25th June to 5th July, 2009 at the MFCC
Complex, Ta’ Qali. All the craftspersons registered with the
Malta Crafts Council were invited to participate in this event where
the Division shall be offering free exhibition space on a first come
first served basis and according to availability.

Għanafest
A group of
craftspersons registered with the Council took part in the Għanafest
hels at Argotti Gardens from the 29th to the 31st May.
SME Week:
The
Malta Crafts Council is took part in the Business Convention Fair organised
on
the occasion of the 1st European SME Week. The Fair was held at
the site of the Old Opera House in Valletta from the 6th to the 9th May
SMEfest
The Malta Crafts Council also participated in the SMEfest which was held at
Birkirkara, (near St. Helen's Basilica) on Saturday
9th May.
Great Spring Show
This
event was held at San Anton Gardens on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May.
Ten
craftsmen registered with the Council participated.
